Ravensthorpe is a 100 acre Victorian reservoir which some say is the
oldest trout fishery in England.
It is situated in a sheltered
valley well away from all major roads with Fly Fishermen can enjoy
trout fishing in peaceful surroundings from the bank, boat or even a
float tube.
Ravensthorpe is a great Buzzer and Nymph water and has many casting
platforms located around the well kept water.
A well stocked catch and release water, shallow, rich in food and
fishes well throughout the year, with a fishery record of a 16 lb 13
oz rainbow.
